Alex was rescued from the basement of an apartment building in Hartford, where he was reportedly abandoned by his owner, who had nowhere to live. Her right hind leg is missing, and appears to have been surgically removed at some point in the past. This does not seem to affect her much at all, as she can jump and get around with no problems. She is a friendly kitty once she gets to know people, and loves attention on her own terms. She does not seem to enjoy the company of other animals, and would probably prefer to be an only pet. She may have suffered trauma in the past, and she needs to live in a calm, quiet environment. She is almost 2 years old, and has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her adoption fee is $200.
