Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.
Dirk is Looking For: His forever home! Through no fault of his own he landed in the shelter. He's closed that chapter and is eagerly looking ahead to the next one. The one where he once again has his own humans for all those adventures (that breed mix - yeah, that's an active dog and his humans need to be prepared to provide plenty of mental and physical enrichment).He's a great age - out of the puppy yips, full of that young adult energy - ready to go with you! Most of all, though, he wants to know where he belongs, to know he's safe and loved. In exchange, you get a smart, loyal, loving companion. What do you say? Is Dirk the one for you?
