Meet Merryweather – A Shy Beauty with a Gentle Heart
Merryweather is a young very petite tuxedo cat with striking good looks and a quiet, thoughtful soul. She came from a rough start in life and is still learning to trust people, but her progress has been heartwarming to see. While she may be shy about being touched, she absolutely loves to rub up against legs and will coo at you with her sweet trills.
Merryweather has a soft spot for treats (they're the way to her heart!) and is great with other friendly cats and would thrive in a calm home with a confident feline buddy to show her the ropes. Merryweather is slowly discovering the fun of toys — wand toys and bird noise toys are starting to pique her interest. She needs a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands that love and trust take time, but the reward is incredibly special.
If you believe in second chances and have the heart to help a sweet, semi-feral girl blossom at her own pace or if you are just looking to find a perfect companion for another lonely kitten in you home, Merryweather might be your perfect match. With kindness, time, and maybe a treat or two, she’ll show you just how special she is.
Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to sending an inquiry or asking to set up a meeting.
(See application at https://www.nwac-oregon.org/cat-application).
Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to put you in touch with the foster family to ask any questions, set up an online meeting, or to set up an person meet. If you submit an inquiry instead of an application, this will delay the process and increase the chance someone else will meet YOUR dream cat before you do! If we get an inquiry, we will ask you to fill out an application before we respond to questions.
The $140 adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, de-worming, current flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam. Unless otherwise noted, they have also had a negative test for FIV and FeLV.
Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.
