About WINDA

WINDA was found in a home with several other cats after her owner had passed away. When someone came to check on the owner, several cats escaped and are now being trapped and brought to shelters. We are not sure how long she and the other cats were there before a wellness check was done, but it must have been traumatising for the cats.

WINDA is still in the confused and frightened stage, but she has started coming out from behind her litter box where she hid for her first week in the shelter. It will take baby steps, but this is a promising sign!

We know WINDA was in a home with numerous other cats, so she seems uninterested in the other cats in the kennels in isolation. We don't know if she liked the other cats, or if she was ever around children or dogs.

WINDA is a young "senior" whose past is a bit of a mystery. She is going to take some time to adjust, and we will work to help her learn that she is safe and that we only want to help. Every day she seems to be more interested in the volunteers as we work slowly to gain her trust.
