About Georgie

Animal Profile: Georgie is an approximately 1 year old 10 lb male terrier mix joining us from Stanislaus Modesto in California on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Georgie was found as a stray and will need basic training. At the shelter, he was assessed as social and friendly with other dogs and people. We will share more about Georgie as we get to know him in foster care.

Foster Update:

Georgie is a young, happy pup with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. He's quickly made himself at home, showing off his sweet, friendly personality. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs-he loves playing chase or tug with his foster sister, but he's just as content tossing toys around on his own.

Georgie enjoys the simple pleasures in life: sunbathing in the backyard, stretching out in the grass with his favorite toys, and soaking up quiet moments. He's not easily distracted by passing squirrels or neighborhood sounds and has a calm, observant nature.

He's doing great with crate training, eats well, and is learning leash walking. Like many young pups, he's still working on his house training, but he's making progress. At home, Georgie is a cozy guy-he loves snuggling under a soft blanket on the couch or curling up in his crate for a nap.

At the end of the day, Georgie's favorite place to be is in your lap, snoozing after a full day of play and exploring. With his medium-to-high energy level, he'd be a great match for an active person or family, whether as a solo pup or as a buddy to another dog.
