Super sweet Gorda was originally adopted from Downey Shelter in 2020 at the age of 6 yrs old. Her previous name was VACA. Here is a video of her the shelter provided at that time:

They say she is now 10 yrs young and was surrendered by her owner due to “responsibility”.

She weighs 67 lbs, is spayed, vaccinated and ready to go to her forever loving home. Here is what we know about her:

? Personality & Behavior:
Gorda is a curious and confident pup who readily approaches and greets other dogs when entering the yard.

While she shows initial interest, her body language can be a bit stiff or moderately tense rather than loose or wiggly.

After saying hello, she prefers to go off and explore on her own?

? She has selective tolerance for other dogs — sometimes stopping to sniff or play briefly, but she’s not overly social.

Gorda would thrive best with calm or independent dogs who respect her space ?

With people, Gorda is sweet and affectionate ?

She enjoys being pet and handled, though she doesn't always stick close — she values a bit of independence too!

Per their website, the shelter is open for ACC Visitation and Adoption Hours seven days a week with the following hours:
Monday – Saturday
11:00am to 5:00pm
Services include adoptions, lost and found animals, animal licensing, and general pet assistance.

Sundays and Holidays: Limited services.
