About Georgie

This girl is Georgie. She is approximately 2 years old (best guess!) and her beautiful coat and small stature make this stunning girl irresistible!

Georgie and her newborns came into rescue In December after she gave birth in a shed in a rural Virginia. She raised her babies, successfully completed HW treatment, and now it is Georgie's time to move on to her happily ever after.

Here’s the thing about Georgie. She was clearly treated VERY badly before she found her way here. As such, she can be quite apprehensive when meeting new people and protective of her space. So slow introductions and understanding her fears are key. Show her that she can trust you and you will have a best friend for life.

Here's what foster mama has to say about our girl: "Georgie is a low to moderate energy girl who is equally happy exploring the outdoors or joining you for a TV session. Zoomies in the backyard quickly give way to nap time inside. She's not a true lap dog but she absolutely loves to receive affection - pets and belly rubs are gold. She's full of cute quirks that show up as she gets comfortable. Give her a chance and you'll get to see all of the best sides of her that are reserved for her special person/people."

Georgie is searching for a family that can see her for what she can be. She needs the most amazing of people - someone who is patient and kind and willing to go at her pace.

Georgie is a super sweet girl who wants so bad to trust and love. If you think you can show Georgie that some humans do deserve dogs, apply online now at
