About Trudy

Meet Trudy. This sweet and gentle lady is about 2 years old and the proud mother of a litter of kittens. The name Trudy (short for Gertrude) means ‘beloved warrior’ of strength and resilience. When her babies were very young, some of them did not make it, but she remained resilient and was a caring and protective mother to the remaining kits - they ate first then she ate, they played & climbed and she made sure they were safe, they slept and she watched over them. Now they are grown, and it is Trudy’s turn to be pampered and watched over and to be loved deeply.
Trudy is a unique cat in that her front feet are polydactyl feet! She has an extra toe on both front feet, so her front paws look like she like she has mittens on. She loves to “make biscuits” when you hold her. She is very friendly and loveable and her motor stars purring the minute you pick her up. Trudy loves to curl up in her little hut and then stick her head out and watches everyone. She loves to give head butts and ear scratches. Trudy gets along well with other cats and was non-reactive to dogs while at the rescue.

Trudy has been spayed and microchipped as part of the adoption fee and has tested negative for FIV/FELV.
All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. If you are interested in meeting Trudy please go to our website and fill out a cat application.
