Ray was rescued as a stray kitten living under a porch in Hartford. He is currently in a foster home in Waterbury with his buddy Caspian and three adult male cats. He is an extremely friendly and affectionate kitty who loves to sit in laps and purr! He is also very playful, curious, and active, and will need to be adopted as a pair with his buddy Caspian. He is food aggressive, and needs to be fed separately from other animals. He was born with superior eyelid agenesis, which is a birth defect that resulted in a large section of his upper eyelids failing to develop. His left eye was not in good condition, and was removed. The lower lid of his left eye was grafted to successfully create a fully functional upper lid for his right eye. He was recently seen by Dr. Dorbandt, a veterinary ophthalmologist at Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine, and his eye is healthy and requires no further treatment. Dr. Dorbandt recommends annual check-ups with a veterinary ophthalmologist to monitor his eye. Ray is 10 months old, and has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $500 for both kittens as a pair.
