About Pye in the Skye

ADOPTED! WAHOOOOO!
Skye was originally rescued as a stray from inside the wall of an apartment building by an animal control officer. She has been transferred to several different rescues and shelters, and is now the only pet in a foster home in Berlin. She is very friendly, and loves to give and receive attention on her own terms. She purrs up a storm, which is audible from across the room. She absolutely LOVES to play with catnip toys! She also enjoys lounging around on the couch and watching TV with her favorite people. She loves cardboard scratchers, head scritches, and being brushed. She needs a calm, quiet household without young children, and doesn't like to be picked up or held. She doesn't enjoy the company of other animals, and needs to be an only pet. Skye was left in a basement in a room by herself for two years, and her food consumption was not regulated at all, so she is overweight and is currently on a strict diet of canned food only. She is making excellent progress and has already lost 4 pounds, so we are hopeful that she will soon be down to a healthy weight. She will need an experienced cat owner, preferably someone who knows Siamese cats. She is 7 years old, and has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
