Uncle Jack was abandoned in New Britain, and left to fend for himself. He currently lives in a foster home in New Haven with an infant, a toddler, a dog, and three other cats. He gets along very well with everyone, although it does take him some time to adjust to dogs. He is incredibly friendly, affectionate, relaxed, sweet, and absolutely loves attention! He also loves children! He will need to have another cat to play with in his new home, as he would be lonely as an only cat.
He was treated for a chronic ear infection and had a polyp removed from his right ear. Even though his ears are currently healthy and there is no inflammation, he will probably always have a head tilt as a result of the previous ear issues. He is currently eating Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Adult Hydrolyzed Protein dry cat food, and would be at an increased risk for a recurrence of the ear infection and/or polyp if the hypoallergenic diet is discontinued. His breathing will always be noisy due to changes in the bone and mucus membranes from previous infections. He currently does not have any nasal discharge, which means that he is healthy. He is 5-6 years old, and has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
